Terms and Conditions of hire
ID- For any and all costume hire you must provide some form of photo identification which details your current address. Acceptable forms of ID include a Victorian drivers licence. A passport or photo ID combined with a household bill showing your current Victorian address is also acceptable.
Booking fee & cancellations –When a hire item is booked, a non refundable fee of $25 per costume will apply. This fee will be credited towards the total hire cost. If for any reason, the booking is cancelled, the deposit is non-refundable and is kept by Sideshow Annie.
Returns- All items hired must be returned by due date. If items are forgotten, bond amount will be held until all items are returned. Items are only acknowledged as returned when noted by staff. If items are returned past the due date, there will be a charge of $10 per day late per costume.
BOND- As part of your hire, you will be charged a 'Security bond'. This is usually equal to the amount paid for your hire items.
If items are lost, damaged, destroyed, overdue or excessively dirty (as determined by Sideshow Annie)- you agree that Sideshow Annie may keep any part of/ or all of the security bond provided to us by you. If the hire items are brought back on time and in the same condition in which they left the premises Sideshow Annie agrees to hand back the security bond in the same manner in which it was paid. Please note that if costs incurred exceed that of the bond amount, you will be charged the excess amount.
You may not alter or adjust the costumes in any way, please treat them with respect.
Do not wash or dry clean costumes, simply bring back to us. Cleaning costs are included within your hire costing. By washing hire items you may damage the costume permanently and incur further costs upon return.
Wigs- DO NOT alter, cut or apply heat to wigs, Doing so will incur in a replacement fee. Hairspray or light conditioning spray to keep the wig hair in place is allowed.
Burlesque fans- BOND is $250 per pair. Fans must be returned in same condition as they left the store. Any staves that are broken incur a $20 fee per stave. If fans are damaged beyond repair, you will be charged a full replacement fee. This can be anywhere between $400- $1000 depending on the brand and size.
Refunds & change of mind- Sideshow Annie does not give refunds on Costume hire items once they have left the Sideshow Annie premises, please choose your Costumes carefully.
Any retail items proved faulty may be refunded/exchanged at the managers discretion.
You agree to indemnify Sideshow Annie, its directors, employees and agents against all claims and demands of any injury, damage and loss arising from the use of the Costume, and whether in respect of death or injury to person/persons or damage to property not covered by insurance, and to further indemnify Sideshow Annie against any/ all costs resulting from any misuse of the Costume in any illegal activity.
